Well it looks like the markets have stalled (summer doldrums?). The FED meets this week with a 1/4 point increase in the fed funds rate likely. That will bring it up to 3.5%. The 10-year bond rate rose from 4.31% to 4.39% and Oil was also up and closed the week at $62.31 a barrel.

Another okay week with strong earnings reports. Oil rose from $58.65 to $60.57 and the 10-year note rose from 4.22% to 4.28%. The volatility indices rose this week, hopefully making room for another push higher.

Looks like a consolidation week with markets rising a bit. Earnings continued this week with GOOG - GOOGLE, Inc. reporting good earnings that failed to impress investors. Next week brings even more earnings.

Markets were up this week with the S&P 500 ending with (7) straight higher closes. Oil prices fell this week from $59.63 a barrel to $58.09 and the 10-year note yield rose from 4.10% to 4.17%. Earnings started this week with AAPL - Apple, Inc. reporting earnings above expectations.

Markets ended solidly down this week with no sepcific catalyst. Oil prices rose this week from $58.47 a barrel to $59.84 and the 10-year note yield fell from 4.08% to 3.91%. I’m still hoping for a comeback from the ^SPX 1185 vicinity.

Wow! The S&P 500 and Nasdaq were up every day this week while oil prices rose from $53.54 a barrel to $58.47. The 10-year note yield also rose from 4.05% to 4.08%.

Well, we have no clear direction this week. The Dow and S&P 500 were up a bit and the Nasdaq was down a bit. Oil prices fell from $55.03 a barrel to $53.54 and the 10-year note yield rose from 3.98% to 4.05%.
