The Importance of Saving
6 January 2007I was reading the AARP Bulletin today and in the back they have a ditty on “The Power of 50″, as in the power of a $50 dollar bill and how time erodes its value through inflation if not put someplace where it can grow.
They say a 1957 $50 dollar bill is worth $6.58 today […]
Seahawks 21, Cowboys 20
6 January 2007It was a squeeker and it wasn’t pretty (for either side), but our Seattle Seahawks win against the Dallas Cowboys. End of story.
Guess I’ll work on something more related to investing now.
Update On Portfolio Change
5 January 2007This morning I took a small position in AAPL at $85.40 from a limit trade I set last night. But AAPL has slid a lot lower and is currently trading at $84.57. With the anticipation of an annoucement next week by Steve Jobs of iTV or maybe an iPhone I am going to stave off […]
Wrong Day, Wrong Time
4 January 2007Man did I pick the wrong day to re-proportion my portfolio. AAPL, GOOG and VZ were all up pretty good by the time I looked this morning. So I did what I usually do. Look for a pullback, which didn’t happen. So by the end of the day GOOG is up +3.35%, AAPL is […]

Sold Off Portfolio Today
3 January 2007I sold off the entire portfolio today (GOOG and AAPL) during the dip. Plans are to look for something new and re-proportion any positions initiated.
Looking back, I have made a bit of money off AAPL and GOOG with the latest trades netting 11.55% and 15.35 % respectively.
If both stocks could pull back a bit and […]

Power Has Been Restored
18 December 2006Not wanting to spend too much time in the cold house we came back home late tonight, hoping the power would be on but not getting our hopes up to high. Luckily, this night we were greeted by the sight of christmas lights and the driveway light.
Although it took four days to get power […]
