AGNC - American Capital Agency IPO Opens for Trading

AGNC - American Capital Agency priced 12.5 million shares today at $20.00 (right at its $20-20 initial range), opening at $19.50 and closing a t $19.35. Lead underwriters were Citigroup and Merrill Lynch. American Capital is a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust).

House Votes In Favor of $146 Billion Economic Stimulus Package

The House everwhelmingly approves a $146 billion economic stimulus plan backed by President Bush. The plan includes tax rebates of up to $600 for individuals and $1,200 for married couples plus another $300 per child. The legislation also includes business tax breaks to encourage investment in new equipment.

So, today Apple Inc. unveiled a revamped iPod line-up that includes new touch-screen iPods that offer WiFi access and look a lot like the company’s popular iPhone. CEO Steve Jobs also announced a $200 price drop on the company’s top-of-the-line 8GB iPhone and will drop the 4 GB phone.
