Microsoft and Yahoo Not Making Merger Progress

Well, it looks like Microsoft and Yahoo are at a standstill over the proposed merger. Yahoo says the deal is not sweet enough. I think we will find out shortly (next earnings report) just how well Yahoo is doing. I bet the YHOO numbers come in low and they blame it on Microsoft for interupting their recovery plans. I’m with Microsoft, and would not offer any more money.

Personally I think the Microsoft / Yahoo merger makes sense. I’d love to have two strong sources for search/content advertising.

Note - I am still long MSFT. -Harvey
