XIDE Lifts Off

7 February 2008

Last night while I was doing the earnings input I came upon XIDE (well known for it’s batteries). It had reported great earnings and I put it on my list of stocks to look at. Well this morning it gapped up to open at $9.25, ending the day at $10.00 and hitting $10.25 intraday. Anyway, I’m not feeling very well and I got up late and didn’t look at anything until late in the day. So,now looking at XIDE’s 1 year chart I see that it has basically bounced between $6 and $8 during the year, making the trip (from $6 to $8…round numbers…) FIVE TIMES! That’s a 33% gain, five times or +416% gain without ever leaving the $8 area.

I wish I could find (and recognize) these type of stocks more often.

So, they did have really good numbers. I wonder how they play into the alternative energy world of solar or electric vehicles?
