So, it’s Thursday and we have had four (4) stock split announcments in one week. Things are really heating up, heh? Well at least in the Energy sector. One more day left in this week and the long February month (all 29 days).

SWN - Southwestern Energy Company Announces Stock Split

Today (02/28/08) SWN - Southwestern Energy announced a 2 for 1 stock split payable March 25, 2008. Its shares closed today at $67.65, up $2.04 (+3.11%) and is up another $1.35 (+2%) in after-hours trade. This stock is optionable and has an average daily trading volume of about 2,556,000 shares.

SU - Suncor Energy, Inc. Announces Stock Split
