Stock Splits - Where Are They?

Well we haven’t had many stock splits this month. So far for December I have (2) logged. During December last year there were (6) logged. Stock splits to date in 2007 I find (149) stock splits logged. In 2006 there were (215) stock splits logged.

Now mind you, these numbers are for listed stocks (NYSE, NASDQ, AMEX) only and they definitely don’t inlcude really low volume stocks, reverse stock splits, pink sheets and otc stocks.

So, projecting for the upcoming January month, there were (21) in January 2007, and I would bet that we will be near that when it is done.
