GOOG is taking a small hit in after-hours after announcing it has agreed to pay $3.1 billion in cash to acquire New York based ad-management technology company DoubleClick, Inc. from the private equity firms Hellman & Friedman and JMI Equity, who acquired the company for roughly $1.1 billion in 2005.
